BBPP's investment strategy is to enhance the value of its existing portfolio of assets as well as identify further accretive acquisition opportunities both in the UK and internationally.

Growth in the value of the existing asset base is expected to come via organic growth as assets move from construction to operations, as well as through active management of the portfolio via intiatives such as refinancing, third party revenue, client variations and portfolio synergies.

Further, the Directors of BBPP and Babcock & Brown Investment Management Ltd believe that there are a number of attractive investment opportunities currently under development by Babcock & Brown that can be transferred to BBPP. In addition, the Directors believe that opportunities exist within the broader infrastructure sector and particularly within the public infrastructure sector and that the number of such opportunities is likely to increase over time. Such acquisitions may be of single assets, of portfolios, of shares in companies or interests in partnerships. BBPP expects to access these opportunities through the Babcock & Brown origination platform which now includes more than 420 infrastructure executives globally.
